Will an EPS12V work in an ATX12V CPU Power Connector?

Reading on my computer parts, It says that my motherboard requires an 8-pin ATX 12V power connector, but my power supply says it has an 8-pin EPS12V Power Connector. Are they compatible? I am relatively new to PC building.
