Just look at it. If its anything less than 1080p it would be immediately obvious. If you can't see it just by quality, reduce the resolution in the control panel to 720p and see if the Windows task bar gets smaller, if it does, then all is well.

just right-click desktop and go screen resolution. click "advanced settings" then "list all modes". if it shows 1920 by 1080 32bit 60 hertz, you're just fine. if it doesn't and there is no 60 hertz on the list, try unlocking it from nvidia control software. though i'm not smiliar with it so cant help further. but as youre saying that your monitor is 1080p, it should be 1080p as default.

yes i tried it changing resolution 1920x1080 at max 60hz that is available and my screen tastkar and icons went too small. so is this the way to caliberate and until it gives me that way i can say that my monitor's every pixel is giving 1080p resolution and fully functional is it ? ,

also i want to know after long usage about 3 years , will all those pixel emitting by led on screen will be working or only few may function but i may not be able to recognize it and other part of pixel may be functional 100% ?
since i dont have caliberation software , the above procedure you mentioned is the only way to find 1080p being fully accurate on my monitor ? , sorry for my bad english

also you did connected your pc to monitor via HD cable don't you? if not, you wont get full performance even it says it's on 1080p. you need to have an hd output from ypur computer. if there's no HDMI output from your pc case, you can use a DVI to HDMI sided cable, it would do just fine.

And about that question, as long as it's a LED screen, you shouldn't worry about pixels for many years to come unless the monitor is physically hurt. there may happen a color or ocontrast loss which are inevitable as the monitor's life is degrading over time. yes you can check pixels one by one but you may lose your eyes. the above procedure is not the only way of course, but is an easy and secure way to find out.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTfGuO9chAk. this is the kind software i was looking for free. i hope you got it since it gives entire information pixel to pixel verification of hd screen . wish i had software that kind to test

hey now i am using my monitor at 1024x768 since desktop icons go very tiny small at 1920x1080p . is there any way at 1920x1080p i can get largesr icons and taskbar ? . also let me know of the kind of link i gave you testing my monitor , is there anything as such ? also wish to know how long will my monitor work fully functional before degrading ?( i play hd games like arkham city and i use it roughly since i run on P4) thnx in advance , hope you give me in depth clarification coz i am about to upgrade my cpu except monitor, so right now my current cpu wont do any effect on my monitor on high settings ?

sorry again for my bad english . ty for guiding

alright. you can download this http://www.passmark.com/products/monitortest.htm
passmark is one of a kind tester lab. and for those icons;

right click your taskbar then untick "lock taskbar" and "use small icons" options. make sure they're not selected.
and second, right-click an empty area of your desktop, highlight "view" then change its option to "large icons"

that's all you can do by default. if you want larger icons than you'll need a software like TuneUp Utilities to haggle with them.
