You can put them in to the slots, but you will not have any performance boost. Only if they are 2 identical cards capable of sli or crossfire you will be able to use their true power. If you have two completely different cards, nothing will happen, only one card would work.

i want to do that so i can use the proper card for the proper use. If i play game use the desktop and for solidwork use the workstation one.

You would have to twinkle around with the settings in your bios every time you would want to change. My suggestion would be to stick with one to avoid mishaps and confusion

No problem, but if you told me what the two cards were I can tell which would be best to use!

Ok this is pretty much all up to you! I foyu are going to be doing a tad bit more gaming stick with the 7850 because it is better in that department, if you always do modeling( office work) go with the fire pro, but in my personal opinion you should stick with the 7850 because if you want to do office work a 7850 will not be near as good as the fire pro, but it will definitely manage and whenever you switch over to gaming you will be ready to play most games an ultra at a smooth fps. I would go for the 7850, but it is your choice. It is not like you can not change them if you do not like the performance on one. Hope I helped you a ton!

it actually helped a lot. I'll probably do more modelling and photoshop and stuff but when i checked on passmark bench the number is pretty low.
