Hi Guys,

I own a Coolermaster Stryker case and I was wondering if the Asus Z9PE - D8 would fit in it, I know the case is compatible with XL-ATL and that SSI EEB is sort of similar to this one.

I've researched on many forums and found out different opinions, some say it does fit and others doesn't.

My main question is: Do you think that motherboard Z9PE-D8 WS would fit on Coolermaster Stryker?

My second question is: What do you think about ES Xeon E5 processors?, I've seen people using them with no issues at all, been thinking about (Matched Pair) Xeon E5 2660 or 2680 ES.

Thanks!

It doesn't look like the hole spacing will correct. Not sure if it will be correct enough to properly mount, though.

Also, not familiar with Xeons, so can't help ya there, sorry.

I've been looking up XL-ATX, and it seems that different manufacturers have different specifications for it. This makes it extremely difficult to figure out. I can't give you an answer, but I can tell you, if you don't already know, that you should figure out the measurements of the spacing of the mounting holes of the case and your mobo, and then you will find your answer. Sorry, I just don't have the time or energy at the moment.

Weird, because I found a person having this thread:

I sent a PM to him but he haven't answered, I found it hard to believe that it actually fits but it looks like it does, some pictures would be great so I think I'll go with the motherboard and 2x ES Xeon's 2660 for a farming/casual gaming workstation...

If you look at the CM Stryker specs it shows that is compatible with XL-ATX

The Z9PE-D8 has a factor EEB so clearly is not directly supported by the CM Stryker, however, this guy "apparently" was able to install it, I don't mind if 1 or 2 screws don't match but I rly like my case...

Well it may fit with a few missing standoffs, yes. EEB is basically another term for EX-ATX (or Extended ATX), so check your case, see if you have any standoffs that support EX-ATX. It may work out regardless of EEB being listed on the case's support.
