So to make things short. I need a 8 pin PCIE to power my graphics card which is XFX R7870 . My power supply only has one 6 PIN PCI-E . I cant wait for the adapter to deliver since I couldnt find it locally so I made one by myself. I added 1 yellow pin to this adapter (which I had around) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-4pin-Molex-peripheral-to-...
and then cuted 2 extra pins from an old PSU and connected them to the grounds on the dual MOLEX. the adapter I made is identical like this one in terms of wiring: http://www.ebay.com/itm/190849898940?ssPageName=STRK:ME...
So should I try it now? Is there any chance of frying or damagin the graphics card.
