i am currently on the market for a new powersupply and case. i would like a case that provides top of the line cooling at a reasonable price and a power supply that can support 2 xfx black edition 7950 crossfired. just to clear something up i current have a cooler master haf 912 case and a CM silent pro 700w psu. early today i ran into an issue with my computer that caused it to shut down and not boot back up. i beleive that it was a psu overheat but im not quite sure after leaving it cool for an hour it worked fine. just incase i removed one of my video cards. please help. right now my video cards run at about 60 degrees Celsius at about 20-30% activity but im fairly sure that due to insufficient cooling the case itself only has 2 fans and is fairly compact.i also need a good case for cooling because the room its in can get fairly hot some days.

More about : decent power supply case due overheating

i used to own a AZZA Fusion 4000 (CSAZ-4000) Black SECC ATX Super Full Tower Computer Case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
it has soo many cooling options you can fit at least 10 fans in there and for the power supply if you want to go with a modular power supply i would go for he CORSAIR AXi AX1200i 1200W Digital ATX12V v2.31 and EPS 2.92 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

that power supply looks like overkill is that really the kind of power supply i need to crossfire my radeon 7950's?

guess not sorry forgot to keep that in mind i think a 750-850w will do the trick so something like the 750W Corsair Builder Series CX750M 80PLUS Bronze Modular as it has just enough for you to crossfire 2 7950's and its modular which gives great cable management which could help with the heat getting trapped and what did you think about the case ?

what is the rest of your computer specs and components that you have in your computer you are only giving us a basis of what you have, 750-850 watts of what you run and then etc - depending on your cpu, # of hdd/ssd/ if you have a water cooler etc. also when you go for PSU's look at their railings and what their +/- watt is because i do not believe that there is a psu that gives you the amount of POWER markted. as for casing, mid tower? I tend to lean towards the Corsair because they are well made, the 500R, 600T etc - helps with cable management and your case is beautiful. Also you probably just need to work on your wiring and what your fans are doing (exhaust, intake) etc.

gives you room for future expansion of components and etc, good brand, warranty.

Case wise here,

was my power supply good enough to support my build with crossfire and all considering the power supply is somewhere close to 2 years old. my computer shut off and wouldnt turn on for about an hour and my psu seemed hot but im wondering if it was my psu or if theres another component i should be worrying about. i dont really want to go out and buy new parts if it's bound to happen again : /

well ok tell me what the temps are of the inside of your pc, also take pictures of the inside of your case to give me a better idea of what it looks like, how cluster it is and etc.

removed one video card after that happened in case it was my psu. do you want the temps with or without it in

as it is right now without the 2nd vid card and without running any games or demanding programs.

cpu temp : 50 degrees Celsius

gpu temp : 60 degrees celsius

alright then you know what that case is actually kept clean, slot in the other GPU imo, dust the shit out of that other fan

is your heatsink fan a exhaust or intake? if its a exhaust thats fine, make it a push-pull configuration so make sure its the same fan specs, make that top fan into a intake, the front two should also be intake, make sure all fans are running at max RPM.

never really been good with intake/exhaust which side is which

well intake, pulls air in
exhaust, pulls air out

if you look at your fans on the side of it, there are arrows that you can follow.
