I'm doing my first ever build of a PC and I want to use it for game like Minecraft, Cube world and so forth. Plus the PC will need to be good for recording my gameplay for YouTube , but it needs to be as cheap as possible.

I've done research for a couple of weeks and I know I need to have 7200RPM on hard drive and PSU and a good graphics card. So here's what i've come up with (I know very little on hardware for gaming):

Motherboard-Asus P8Z77-V LX Motherboard (Socket 1155, 32GB DDR3 Support, ATX, Intel Z77 Express, USB 3.0, CrossFireX Support, Dual Intelligent Processors 3) £84.96
Processor-Intel Core i3 3220 Dual Core CPU £93.68
Memory-Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 Mhz CL9 XMP Performance Desktop Memory Kit Black £57.85
Graphics Card-Asus Nvidia GeForce GT 640 Graphics Card (2GB DDR3, PCI Express 3.0, VGA, 2x DVI-D, HDMI, Nvidia 3D Vision Ready) £72.96
Hard Drive-Western Digital Black - 3.5 inch 1TB Desktop SATA Hard Drive - OEM £71.99
Power supply-Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU  £67.97

Total: £449.41

Is there any way I can make this cheaper and what can I improve on everything helps.

You don't need 750W, I'd advice you to rather get this PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139027&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

And if you can stretch to £540 (including Windows cost) then you can get an SSD in there for a far more responsive system all-round (load times for games but also Windows performance, boot times, software load time etc).

If you want to get as cheap as it can be while still running those things that you asked for perfectly fine, you could get this build :

You can overclock this one, if you choose to do so, which you couldn't do with the other one. It is probably a better price/performance ratio than your build.

You didn't quote on a graphics card so should I use the one on my list?

What bit can it go up to (64-bit, 128-bit, 256-bit ideal)

I don't think 128 bits will be a problem if you change the RAM that you allocate to Minecraft, but I'm not really sure. 256 bits is another story. You would need a much pricier GPU, your Geforce GT 640 wouldn't even be close to be enough.

seriously my mate claims that the geforce GT 640 is one of the top GPU's. He's clearly a bit screwy in the head!!!

How do you change the RAM allocated to Minecraft?? I know you can do a batch file way were you do a code and it "works" (I don't notice a difference) is there another way?

Thanks for all your help are you sure that your one is the best for gaming under £500 ?

I can tell you that it is for sure the cheapest one to fit what you want to do. You could get something better than that, but it wouldn't really do anything better on Minecraft/Cubeworld. With that, you should get a cool over 60 FPS on Minecraft with Optifine and pretty much everything maxed out except AA that you might want to keep at x6 or so. Maybe even forget the AA and then trade it for better texture pack.

Be aware sir that setup will be pretty crappy if you ever decide to play more modern games on it. Like Seladon says though it'll do fine for Minecraft.
