Hi everyone,

I am having a bit of an issue trying to decide the proper path I should take.

My current machine (very old) is:

MSI 870a-g54
AMD 1090t (overclocked to 3.6)
4 gigs ram
Nvidia GTX 550 ti

I am thinking about upgrading to a newer build that has:

8-12 gigs ram
xfx radeon 7850
ASrock extreme 4 motherboard
FX-8350

But here is my problem, would I see a noticable improvement in my system by upgrading the cpu?

I mainly play online games (RIFT, GW2, Neverwinter) and I also live stream on twitch and I have noticed that I get some graphic issues while streaming.

I have read on numerous sites that it is the cpu that does most of the work while streaming, and that replacing my 1090t will vastly improve my stream.

I guess I am still trying to figure out if the fx-8350 is a viable (good) upgrade path?

Any help would be appreciated.

The 8350 is a great cpu overall and you'd likely notice some improvement, especially when using multithreaded applications. I would say upgrade the mobo first, then get 8gb of ram, get your video card, then if there is no news on any new AM3+ processors, then go ahead and get the 8350.
