Hi. My laptop is stolen recently and it has very confidential files in it. My Toshiba Satellite laptop running on Windows 7 ( I forgot what bit it is if it's 32 or 64 ) has a log in password to only one account which is the administrator account. My laptop is also frozen by Faronic's Deep Freeze. I don't want the thieves or the one who will buy the laptop get access to my files. My question is, will it be hard for any computer hacker to bypass the windows login password? I have researched about ways to bypass windows login password and all of them seem easy but all of them seems to need a reboot--which is where the deep freeze comes in! Is it safe to assume that everytime they change / disable the windows login password then reboots it, deep freeze will turn it back to the way it was putting the thieves on an endless cycle? I want to feel safe. Please answer. Thank you so much.

May I ask you again if, hard drives are encrypted by default?
