My computer that I built around a year ago, runs games very slowly when I first boot it up, but the longer it is on, the faster they run. This seems to be a problem with any game, whether it is stored on my SSD or my slower HDD. It happens mainly in the form of lag spikes and makes almost anygame, regardless of its graphical intensity, unplayable. I suspect it may be a wrong setting in BIOS, but i don't know. Specs are as follows: mobo: Asus Sabertooth Z77, GPU: EVGA GTX 680 ftw 4 gb, 16 gb corsair vengeance ram, i7 3770k, corsair h100, coolermaster silent pro 850w psu, and asus xonar dgx sound card. I will be happy to provide any further specs if nessicary.

Windows 7, and thats the weird thing, it boots up in a matter of seconds, and there are like two bootup items, but I get sub- optimal performance in games for like an hour after I've booted up. Its really odd. I'm going to look into CPU options in BIOS, as I have overclocked somewhat, but its just really weird because it does speed up, it just takes a while.
