Question about monitor

Hi guys, My father is about to gift me a Palit GTX 760 JetStream 2gb. But I only have a 20" LCD monitor.It says that the best resolution is 1920x1080.

My question is, the 1920x1080 resolution can be used in a 20" monitor?
