2450$ CAD build, including OS/mouse/headset/monitor, overclocking

I am usually the one to recommend build right now, but I just wanted to have the opinions of the rest of the Tom's Hardware community, in case I am missing something. I'll be buying it today, from NCIX.ca, using their price match feature. My budget is 2450$ CAD, including 80$ of shipping and the 5% tax, and it must also include the OS, a good gaming mouse and headset, and one, or maybe 2 monitors. I'll obviously be using it for gaming, and I also plan on overclocking, both the CPU and the GPU.

Here's what I had in mind :

I would go for this. As pointed out below, a 770 or 760 SLI will fare better TBH, it is not really the best idea to get a 780 when you can get a better processor, PSU, etc.

@The Q6660 Inside : Won't that kind of CPU be a total waste of money for gaming purpose only ? I'm not doing any video editing or anything, not even streaming, just simple gaming (at 1080p, single or dual monitor).

I think for the GPU I'll get SLI GTX 760. But is it really better or equal to a single 780 ? Any benchmarks of it ? Wouldn't there be some games where the SLI wouldn't give any FPS bonus or even make me lose some ?

Games will become more multi-threaded these days, this is a nice alternative. The 780 might be better in the future due to higher VRAM for a dual monitor setup. Dual 760 4GBs in SLI is also a good option.

Ok for the multi-threadings. Another problem that I found with your build is that you got only a 1 TB HDD (I'd really like 2 TB, 1 is filled up so fast), and it is only 5400 RPM aka slow HDD. You're also breaking the budget by 200$, as like I said, the 2450$ must count the 80$ shipping and 5% tax. Try to stay at or below 2250$. I guess we could drop a little bit on the power supply, and switch to a SLI GTX 760, to get to this price, but as I said :

I think for the GPU I'll get SLI GTX 760. But is it really better or equal to a single 780 ? Any benchmarks of it ? Wouldn't there be some games where the SLI wouldn't give any FPS bonus or even make me lose some ?

The RAM selection is a mess these days. I went back to 1600MHz when I finally found it :| 2133MHz is a small increase BTW.

And by the way, about taxes, not it doesn't calculate them, and neither does it calculate the shipping cost. Only when the shipping is already included in the part's price, but it doesn't for any of those.

I will be checking each and every shipping cost :p Please excuse me as I go into an uncontrollable mental breakdown :3

3570K: Can't tell
Maximus: Free ground
H100i : Cant tell
8GB Corsair: SO MUCH CANT TELL
840 Pro: FREEE
760: LOCAL PICKUP
Barracuda: $17 CAD
Samsung DVD: Liak 10 bux
Windblows 7: And then I was liak PEW PEW PEW MERICA (local).
X750: Liak 10 bux
Moniturrs: FREEEE

4GB is more suited for a dual monitor setup, 2GB is enough only for a single monitor.

But what if I put one monitor on each of the cards ? It doesn't work ?
(I'm really hardcore into the computer stuff, but I've only been learning for a few weeks, so there's still a few points where I'm not quite sure yet.)

You put both of the cables on the topmost\host card, not both of them.

What if I do it this way ? This case is one that I personally love, and it is actually hard to find one with good airflow that is cheaper than this... I had a lot of trouble trying to find one, so decided to stick with this, and rebalance the rest of the build to stay at my budget.

One again you're going higher than my budget. We can cut 20$ on the 2 monitors, going for the 2 LG, I'm sure of it, but about the motherboard, wasn't the one that I chose good enough for overclocking ? I did read pretty good reviews about overclocking on it.
