Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: around the end of the year
Budget Range: 1000 max
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Lightroom, gaming, web surfing
Are you buying a monitor: No (saving that for future)
Do you need to buy OS: No, I have a copy of Windows 8
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon or Newegg
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Additional Comments: I prefer not to have to use special cooling setup since I will not be overclocking
And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: My current system is several years old and has various small issues. I am looking for improved performance in Adobe Lightroom 5 (and gaming to a lesser extent) so I need more memory, better cpu, and flash storage.

make you cpu an i5 3570k instead of 3570. also upgrade the gpu to a gtx670 instead of 650. its a bit extra, but it is newer so it will be a bit more efficient.

-8 cores and 16gb of ram is better for lightroom.
-Allows for overclocking (you need to add an aftermarket cpu cooler) and SLI in the future, even though you said you don't want to.
-Much stronger gpu.
-Better quality case and psu.

Why should I get the 3570k if I'm not overclocking? and the gtx 670 is $200 more, going my budget.

I switched in a better case. Why would I need a higher wattage psu if 500 is more than the calculated usage? I'm not really interested in overclocking, so I think the cpu is good enough. Might consider more ram
