I cannot boot to windows 7 on my back up hard drive

Hello all,

I have been running windows 7 off of my solid state drive and now it seems to be going out. I have windows 7 installed on a standard spin disk drive and would like to boot to that instead but am unable to. I have selected to boot from that hard drive in the bios, but when it does, it goes straight to windows error recovery console thing. Any help is much appreciated thanks!

Was that drive originally installed on the system you are trying to boot? If not, you need to at least do a Repair setup. Also make sure your drive settings in the BIOS are set to the right one that was in use when the drive was first installed, AHCI or ATA (legacy) mode.
