Hi there, forum. I've a query and need a few opinions and what this setup is capable of:

GIGABYTE GTX 460 1GB 256-bit SLI
Kingston HyperX 8GB DDR3
AMD FX-6300
ASRock 990FX Extreme3
ENERMAX NAXN82+ 850W

Will this be able to handle say 4320x900 or 4800x900 in low-medium settings? The most demanding game I play is Borderlands 2 and Skyrim, not much else.

Agreed (assuming SLI) that it would still be pushing it.

Running 3 1680x1050 displays across 2 GTX 460s, at lower settings (medium at best) should be playable, especially with digital only connections (no VGA adapters in use). But only barely and even then the eye candy would have to be minimized.

I think the main thing is that to do as the OP wants, he would need to step up in weight class for the GPU. Then I would recommend a single, stronger GPU vice a multi-GPU solution.

I actually have two of them in SLI. I was thinking of getting an additional two Samsung SyncMaster 2253's to give it a shot.

I've read your suggestion at the bottom I get where you're going with this. Guess I'm just not quite ready to give up these bad boys.

That's gorgeous! But where I'm from, we don't usually see PNYs around.

I guess I could deduce an upgrade probably at the end of this year, or later. Basically when my pocket allows it. I usually buy used cards so its always a game of patience and luck. I got both of these at about $75 each last year. Now I'm not so sure what to wait for.

I'm just gonna tough it out for now. At least until either this:

or this...

...goes cheap somehow.
