Does breaking the RX+ line in an RJ45 cable stop all data transfer in both transmit and receive directions?

Re: On/Off manual Ethernet RJ45 cable switch. Does the spst switch breaking the solid orange wire of the rj45 cable stop all data transfer, both TX and RX?

This begs the question: What, specifically, are you trying to do here? If you want to stop all traffic, just pull the cable out of the port, or, disable the NIC.
