I recently finished my first build. I tried to install Mint 15 Cinnamon and then Ubuntu, but my ethernet and audio ports would not work with my MSI Z77A-GD65 <http://us.msi.com/product/mb/Z77A-GD65-GAMING.html#overview>. I then installed Windows 7 and got the ethernet and audio ports working after installing the MSI drivers from the disk (they were not plug and play). I would really appreciate it if someone could help me to get the ethernet/audio drivers working with Linux.

Thanks in advance!

I run the MSI Z77A-gd55 and had no trouble installing Ubuntu 12.04.x or getting the (digital SPDIF) audio port connected to my BA digital speakers. That said I looked here:
http://motherboard.findthebest.com/compare/614-620/MSI-Z77A-GD65-vs-MSI-Z77A-GD55

By this sites overview there's precious little difference between the two mobos so I'm guessing Ubuntu ought to have installed just fine.

Sorry, I actually have the Z77A-GD65 Gaming, not the Z77A-GD65. I have seen the Z77A-GD65 is compatible with Linux, but have seen no documentation on the Z77A-GD65 Gaming motherboard.

Did you find a solution for this issue? Where you able to get the Ethernet port to work using Mint 15 Cinnamon?
