hello experts ,
please share a solution. I have bought this drive today itself the problem is when I copying files from my wd Earx 1TB hdd to this 3TB drive I get an speed of 20 to 33 mbps why? sometimes to 26.3 kbps .
Install steps :
- AHCI all drives
-Mbr to Gpt using win 7 x64 sp1 dskmgmt
-I get 2.72TB space of 3TB
- I copy my files to a folder in drive speed sucks.
-my os drive 500gb seagte 7200.14
-ram 12GB 1600MHz
-CPU AMD 720 x4 @ 2.80
-HT 2000MHz
- Drivers and bios are latest.

when it comes to a large amount of small files copying speed often drops significantly. you can .zip them to have one bigger file.

How are the drives attached?
- What sata mode are they in? 1, 2, or 3?
- What USB mode are they in? In which enclosure?
Did you run a benchmark test on the drive? Did you run a burnin test?
What speed do you get copying the same files to the 500Gb drive?
What program are you using to copy the files over?
