So I have been compiling a build I want to get, and graphics cards are an area where I am a bit confused. I hear the geforce gtx 680 is one of the best cards.. but the gtx 760 and 770 are out as well and they are cheaper. Wouldn't it seem logical the 760 and 770 are better than the 680? Sorry if this seems a bit stupid but I'd love some feedback.

The 770 is pretty much a 680 with a few things at higher clocks and a cheaper price tag. I'd say that's your best bet if you have the money for it. The 760 performs somewhere between the 660ti and the 670, so both the 680 and 770 perform better, but the 760 is great bang for the buck. You can't go wrong with either the 760 or 770.

The 770 is the best. It is a higher clocked 680 and is therefore better. The 680 is second best and the 760 is the worst. Hope this helps and if you need any other help with another area of your build feel free to ask! :)

It doesnt sound stupid its good that you ask questions but i do agree with others the 770 would be the way to go if you can swing it

Your better off getting an GTX 760 or GTX 770 mainly because there newer cards which means they will perform better in upcoming games (EG : Battlefield 4)

Im thinking it will be in jan when we see something but in 2014 i see alot of people will wait off on amd after they release and make a move right when the first highest end gtx 890-880 drops so there for they will pick the fastest card between either camp. I would hate for someone to buy a fast end amd then nvidia drops the hammer ...Buyers remorse

It will be out before the holidays I'm pretty sure. The 800s are awhile off, probably late 1H 2014 at best. It could be later if yields are bad at 20nm.
