I am a first time builder, I have never even opened up a tower before. I am trying to build a complete system for primarily gaming at a budget of around $1000.00

Before I order this I'd really like some feedback on what I have (compatibility) also if there is anything missing that I will need for this build (cables)?

This build should be a lot better then yours in every way, especially gaming. I put a radeon 7970 on it, a high end GPU, instead of a 7790, a low-midrange one. I think it should be good for you! Link: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/kirilmatt/saved/2bXa
