corsair vengeance 8gb 1600 overclocking

hey everyone i needed some help with this. how can i overclock this type of ram to lets say 1866? i am not to sure on how and looking for some help. i have a fx6300 at stock speeds and a gigabyte ga-970a-ud3

Try the freq to 1866, take each of the stock timings up by 1, add + 0.05 to the DRAM voltage and + 0.125 to the CPU/NB voltage

thanks, do you know is there software for this or in the bios? because in the bios it only lets me select either profile1 which puts it at 1600 and if i leve it as default the board sets its 1333 even tho its a 1600 ram

Have to manually do it in the BIOS, profile 1 would indicate you have XMP enabled

hm ok im guessing that has to be disabled. ill try that and see if i can change the freq
