So around 3 days ago i did my annual 6 month windows re-install (I know I'm crazy). Anywho i did what i always do, format the drive, re-install windows yadda yadda yadda. After I was all done setting my password and at the desktop, I do all the windows updates and insert the DVD that came with my motherboard for all the drivers. The computer got a lot slower. Like after I boot-up and punch in my password everything is un responsive and my games lag. It literally takes 3 minutes to open Minecraft or steam. The system speeds up a little about 300 seconds later though.

I'm convinced that this is not a hardware issue as my computer was working great right before i re-installed windows. I'm trying to pin point what exactly is causing this slow down but i can't figure it out! It's gotta be either the windows updates or from the drivers on my DVD's.

If anyone can help me i would be grateful!

-Also-
I installed my GPU drivers first and i played around on Minecraft and there was no lag, so it's not the GPU drivers.

PLEASE HELP ME!
