Damaged CPU socket

I built my first rig today. My fingernail slightly grazed the socket on the motherboard (it's a LGA1150). It's probably nothing, but I'm kinda worried. What would happen if it is damaged? Would the CPU not work at all, or would there be poor performance or artifacts because it seems to be working fine right now.

It's a Gigabyte GA-Z87-HD3 mobo and an i5-4670k.

If it works than it works that means everythings is connected right, if it doesnt boot you have a problem

Hi, if you cant see any bent pins in the socket there is no need for concern. If it were damaged you will get all sorts off errors, system not booting, lockups etc. Double check if nothing is bent, if it is i would not recommend using the motherboard.

The PC boots and works just fine. I guess I was being paranoid. Thanks for the help!
