ps3 to dvi

how to get a phillips 190cw7 monitor to work with ps3 i have a hdmi to dvi-d cable and i know that the monitor is hdcp. any help or info would be appreciated

the monitor has to be a 1080p monitor or you have to set the ps3 to display 720p only then plug in the monitor. (some this works sometimes it doesnt) note that ps3 will have trouble picking up most monitors if they are not 1080p.

if the monitor has an hdmi cable then it should be fine.

ok thanks. phillips said it would work as the monitor is 1440x900 and it would not go above 720p i have set it manually on 720p on the ps3 but with no luck think i might just go and buy a tv thanks for the help

yeah, the ps3 isnt really good at detecting monitors. sorry you couldnt get it to work.
