Hi,

I've got the following system:

Asus P8p67 pro rev b
i5 2500 non K
3 x 4gb patriot Patriot Viper II Sector 7 DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
gtx 660 (recently added)

so I had a fairly stable rig for the last 2 years. the guy at the shop where I bought my setup from was very helpful and setup everything to run a bit OC. I've never had too much trouble and what problems I had I solved with my limited knowledge of bios and hardware. In the process I might have reset BIOS to defaults, but that was about a year ago.

Recently I've been experiencing random freezes and I started looking into bios. BCLK of my i5 was set to 103mhz. I reverted it to 100mhz and set the RAM to 1600mhz via XMP. This caused some further instability and I read somewhere that the sandy bridge setup doesn't like 1.65v which is what the RAM used for XMP profile.

I've now changed the settings again, to 1333mhz, cpu-z is showing

666 MHZ @ 8-9-8-24 and gives me a FSB : DRAM 1:5

What I would like is to run the ram @ 1333mhz 1.5v and correct timings.

I know very little about timings and hence not sure whether these are correct for my setup. The RAM in question is this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

also goes by pv7312g1600elk

problem is it's end-of-life now, so I can't find any documentation about it.

Can anybody help or advise?
