I've decided to build my new rig and got all other parts decided but just not sure about the PSU. I'm deciding in between HX750 and HX850 for my MSI GTX 760 SLI.

Anyway this is the spec I'm going for if it's necessary,
I7-4770
G.Skill Ripjaws-X 1600 2x4GB
Samsung 840 Pro 256GB
WD 2TB Cavier Black 7200rpm HDD
MSI Z87-GD65 MOBO
MSI GTX760 TF x 2 (For SLI)

That calculator does not factor in 1150 Haswell processors.

OP needs to save money, and not buy power supply with to much power.

For example too:
I am using an overclocked 4670k(peaks at 50 watts) and an overclocked 670(same power requirements as the 760) and using an average of 250-260 watts from the wall during benchmarking/gaming for a single card, so he could even go with 600 and be fine.

He's not even using a -k version. Also, the processor alone for me peaks at 50 watts, so he

I've heard a lot of people said that 750W would be enough but another lot of people including some review page recommends 850W to make full use of it in case I would OC my GPU in future or whatsoever.

If you want to do 850w to feel safe, go ahead.

Do you have the I7-4770 or I7-4770k?

Realistically even with SLI, you won't be drawing that much power from this type of system with an overclock. 750w is quite enough.

I'm using I7-4770, but can I OC the GPU without OC-ing the CPU?

May I know what's your computer specs?

2600k
P8P67 mobo
2x 660Ti's
5xHDD's
HX620w PSU

Yes, you can overclock the GPU without overclocking the CPU. That processor cannot be overclocked too, it's not a -k version. You will be using very little amount of power, theoretically with this build a 750 could run tri-sli with a 760.

On load:
4770 40-50 watts
3x760 510 watts

Edit: what is this build for anyway? Pure gaming?

Nope, not pure gaming. about 1/3 gaming, 1/3 might be doing some video editing/photoshopping/digital painting and another 1/3 goes to watching videos or video recording/streaming.

I guess after reading and researching more information, I'll go with HX750 then :). Thx everyone for the answers.
