I am building a PC.
PURPOSE: Surfing, HD video, mild gaming (Minecraft, Sims 3, Wizard 101, etc.)
COMPONENTS:
CPU: AMD Athlon ii x2 270.
Motherboard:Foxconn A76ML-K 3.0 AM3 AMD 760G Micro ATX.
RAM:Corsair 8GB (two 4GB sticks.).
Graphics: GIGABYTE Radeon HD 6670 2GB RAM.
DVD burner.
Case: Thermaltake V3 black version.
HDD: HGST 500GB 7200 RPM.
PSU:Enermax 350 watt.

I am on a tight budget( I'm cheap.) but able to squeeze some more money in if I have to. I just want to know if this is a good build for it's purpose and if everything is balanced in performance and I will also accept opinion's.Thanks.

Solution

It is pretty bad considering you can have a better build for the money. I will assume your budget is around $500...

yes it is! What do you think i should get?

I would go for it. Remember that your budget does not include an OS.

Hmm, actually a decent machine or two on newegg at the moment. Add a video card and it is off and running with a potent CPU.

Another alternative with an OS. An APU build instead of discrete graphics.

My alternative APU build (With more high quality components) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1udR5
(Also consider my other build)

The HD4000 in the Gateway rig is underpowered and it has upgrade path issues.
