I'm looking for some advice on my first build. Obviously I would like to save money where I can but I believe this will be the best bang for my buck.
I will use this for gaming, streaming games, watching movies, and surfing the internet.
There are a few things I do not want to change: the case, keyboard, mouse, and mobo. Everything else is subject to change. US prices.
Thanks for the help!

Found some places to save money and still game at max settings.
Mobo: Gigabyte makes great boards and overclocks well.
CPU cooler: NXXT Respire is REALLY loud, I found a much better cooler that will give higher overclocks.
SSD: Do not get a 64GB SSD, you need at least 120GB. trust me.
GPU: 770 is great, but a 7970 for $305 is a much better buy. And it'll max out all games on your monitor.
Monitor: Upgraded from 23" to 24" for slightly cheaper price.
PSU: 750W is too much power. Just get a 620W PSU that is modular.

I know this list includes somethings you didn't want to change, but I think you should take a look at it ;). It saves you money, and has the best cost to performance ratio, such as higher frequency ram, better monitor, same quality parts for less, etc.

I like the monitor, psu, and the ssd. Would I be able to sli in the future with that psu? Is that ssd trustworthy at such a cheap price?

Thanks for the responses guys, thinking I'll be making my purchase tonight!

I changed my build a little to include a better and faster SSD, and a PSU that can support SLI if you choose to do so. Also OCZ PSUs are just as good as Seasonic, and same goes for G.Skill ram for corsair.

Ok here is what I'm going for as my final build. I switched out the psu and ram. Im a little worried about the psu because I haven't heard a lot about the company. I chose a slightly different ram than yours razer due to the color preferences, smart I know :).

Any other opinions before I purchase?

Just a few things to consider:

This monitor is one of the best ones available for gaming, and will provide a much sharper image than the one you chose. It is 0.6 inches shorter, but to me that shouldn't matter.
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/acer-monitor-umvh6aa003

The next would be the keyboard. For the price your paying for it, it doesn't come with many features. This one cost less, and has a ton of more features and is cheaper.

And finally the OS. If you are using windows xp or vista currently, I would highly suggest windows 7. But if your not then go for windows 8.

Hope you have fun, and good luck with your build :).

Sadly not feasible because you forget the monitor, OS, mouse, and keyboard :(.

You're final $1600 build looks pretty solid. Glad you went with a 128GB SSD, you won't regret it.

Just so you know...750W isn't enough for 2x770. If you want 2x770 in the future then you should get 850W.

How about jumping from Evo to Dark Kinght II? You are getting a great overclocking mobo so might as well get a good overclock with your CPU. And to do so you need good cooling, more so than a Evo.

Are you sure about the psu? Ive seen some builds include two 770s with only 750 watts. I know its cutting it close but I figured it won't be that bad.

I do want to watercool before I sli, unfortunatley I felt like I couldn't financially include it in the build tjis time, but soon.

I got half of the supplies today. Should have the rest by the middle of the week. Cant wait to finish it!

Yea what envy said, for the future if you want to do 770 sli get a 850+ PSU. Gl on the build :).

Hey guys I got a question for my build.

Everything came in fine and the build is running. I will update with pics later.

I am trying to install the freeware on my z87 instaltion disk. It installs fine but when I restart my comp I can't get back into windows without refreshing it which loses everything I downloaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
