Need A Surge Protector. Is This A Good Surge Protector For Me?

I need a wall mount surge protector for my laptop (Asus n61jq) and a 2 TB hard drive. Those two will always be on there. But I also might have some handhelds connected too, like a Nintendo ds and a smartphone.

I was thinking about buying this one:

If you don't think that is a good one for me (or too expensive for my needs), give me some recommendations.

The surge protector in the link provides little protection but not bad for its price. I would suggest a unit with battery backup if you will be leaving the laptop and HD on 24/7. Maybe something like this.

it won't be on 24/7. They will be off at least 6 hours a day.

I just need something that protects the hardware. I don't care if I lose my unsaved work.
