Hi, I am going to build a gaming pc but I need some help with choosing the right gpu.
Computer specs:
Cpu- Amd fx 8320
Motherboard- Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+
Ram- AData XPG Gaming Series 8GB(2 x 4GB)
HDD- Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200RPM
PSU- Cooler Master i500 500W
OS- Windows 8 (64bit)

And as for the graphics cards, I am thinking between these two:

Radeon 7870

Radeon 7950
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I also plan on gaming on my tv which runs at 1366 x 768.

I currently plan on playing Red Orchestra 2, Battelfield 3, Diablo 3, and Arma 3 at high and or ultra settings. I understand that the Radeon 7950 is better than the Radeon 7870 but is the extra cost really worth it. I do not plan on having more than one monitor nor do I plan on a crossfire setup later in the future. Also, when reading through the forums, someone mentioned that a 7950 can be overclocked to run like a 7970 which I think is pretty neat. If anyone thinks I can do better with another card please do mention it. My budget for a graphics card ~ $210.00. I was thinking of getting the GTX 760; however, I would have to switch MOBO and I would also like to save as much money as possible since I'm on a VERY tight budget.

You shouldnt need to replace the motherboard to get the Nvidia card. As for those 2, the 7950 is obviously the better choice, and is worth the money, IF you are playing at 1080p. Since you are not you probably wont utilize all the power of the 7950.
