AM3, AM3+, SLI and general MOBO questions.

AMD 1090T X6 3.8GHZ OC - HYPER 212+
NVIDIA GIGABYTE GTX 670 2GB WINDFORCE X3
128GB VERTEX 4 SSD
1TB SEGATE HDD
8GB 1333MHZ CORSAIR VENGEANCE
CORSAIR 700W STEALTH2
NZXT PHANTOM FULL TOWER



So, as my motherboard is getting towards it's fourth year of age I find it's time for an upgrade. But, I'm not the best with motherboards and what they are capable of. So, I figure as I always do come here and ask the community.


I'm looking for a motherboard that is capable to continue the use of my 1090T processor as from lot's of reading and searching is worth holding on too for a bit longer as of now I don't have issue with any games at the moment. I also would like to do SLI with my GTX 670 in the future as I read it will give me a good performance boost later on. But, I don't know for sure if it's possible to get a motherboard that can run AMD CPUs and at the same time SLI.. again I'm not the best with MOBOs.



In short: My motherboards getting old. It's time to look to upgrade. I want a motherboard that can still use my 1090T and future AMD chips and at the same time run Nvidia's SLI with my GTX 670 later on if possible.

Should I go with one specific over others... so far the Gigabyte and ASUS look like the best.. but which?
