overclocking 3770k with the corsair h110 cooler

runrunnrunnirunninrunning fHello I have the corsair h110 water cooler and overclocked to 4.6 and it is 24c at idle. I ran intel burn test on high and normal and it said its stable and now im running prime 95 its been ruor almost 2 hours going to try 24 if you think that is needed. i would also like to know if anyone with the i7 3770k and same water cooler has overclocked it higher? if there is any good ifo for overclocking and the stess test id be appreciated if you could tell me.

I had h110, but now a custom loop. I was able to go 4.9 and it was stable but temps were a little high on load so I switched to a custom loop. Delid and lap your cpu along with h110. Use Coolabratory Liquid Pro for TIM. What are your temps on load and Vcore?

I recently got my delidded 3770k to 5.0Ghz with h100i @ 1.44v, max temp: 86C, passed IBT on very high, working on Prime95.

Looks like you're one of the lucky few that got a good chip 5.0GHz is impressive, considering h100i and you stayed under 1.5V too. Congrats!

My temps are 45c highest 50c sometimes on 100% load. sorry about the beginging I had no idea how the runrun got there until just now.

im not going to delid mine though because it viodes warranty and I dont have the money to be that risky yet I already spent it all on my pc so I have to be safe.

May I ask if you got it to 4.9 what would be your settings in bios to set it to 4.7 or 4.8? Im talking voltage, and etc. I want my pc to last a good four years. I am a graphic designer, photographer and serious gamer (Borderlands2).

Set your multiplier to 47/48 and I believe my Vcore was set to 1.4. I suggest not going over 1.5
