new to all this.. i have a eMachines ET1331G model

1.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon II X2 250u
Board: eMachines MCP61PM-GM
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: AMI P01-A2 12/10/2009

i'm just wondering whats the best Processor for my computer with out having to over clock or anything the reason i ask is because i like to make music and it seems like my cpu isn't that good after i get so far on a song it starts sounding really bad like its too much for my computer to handle also i'm wondering if by upgrading my Processor and then later upgrading my video card i will then possibly be able to play bf3 on this computer..

any advice and info would be much appreciated thank you

You might not be able to upgrade. The Athlon II X2 250u is a 20w chip - all of the other chips in the series are at least 65w. Your motherboard might not support the upgrade. What you can do is look at all the configurations of your computer that were sold, from there you can deduct which chips will work and which wont.
