GTX 670MX 1.5GB v GTX 660M 2GB.

Basically I have a choice of laptops one offering, GTX 670MX 1.5 GB and 16GB RAM.

Or a laptop with GTX 660M 2GB and 8 GB RAM.

I'm looking to mainly play games on the laptop with a bit of extra work but nothing demanding just word processors etc. I'm assuming that 8GB of RAM is plenty for games? So the RAM is not a big factor for me.

However every website I have looked at which compares these graphics cards uses the 3GB GTX 670MX not the 1.5GB GTX 670MX. I'm basically wondering which graphics card is better for games?

investing in gpus is the best way to optimize for best performance, 8 gigs is fine, not too many games require more(actually i dont know any that do) and more vram is always helpful. I would say 660M

Or an MSI laptop for the 660M.

However whilst the GTX 670MX is normally vastly superior, is it still in this case where it is restricted to 1.5GB instead of 3GB?

I'm only making sure because there is some differing views between yourselves.
