graphics card issue

i have 3rd generation mother board and 2nd gen graphic card..... there are two slots on motherboard pci x4 and pci x16 where can i put that card for good work

PCI-Ex16 slot (@x16); usually the top PCI-Ex16 slot. The generation differences between graphic cards and motherboards *normally* do not make a difference.
