Hi, I would just like the know what would the best CPU be that I could overclock, multitask well on, game, and render video with.I currently have a i5 2500k overclocked to 4.3 ghz. I also currently have a gtx 680 with a 750 watt psu. I was looking at the Amd fx- 8350, Amd-fx 9370, and the i7 4770k. Which one do you guys think is best(I dont care about brand) or what other cpus could I get?

In terms of rendering and multitasking, all of these are decent options but the 4770K is likely the best option because its per-core performance outpaces all AMD offerings. Overclocking-wise, Haswell is a bit of a letdown so either of the other two options you listed will reach higher clock speeds, but will probably still lag behind the 4770K in terms of performance. Whether or not it's worth spending extra for i7 is up to you though; the 8350 is a good choice for the money.

Would my 750 watt psu be ok with the i7 4770k overclocked with the 680?

None of the current CPUs are that much of an upgrade that its worth spending the money in my opinion. Maybe try to get a cheap 3770k that slots into your current motherboard, when they become cheaper, say off eBay. But even then you'd be spending over $200 for only 10-20% more CPU performance (only a few % overall increase in system performance). I'm in a similar position, when I really compare benchmarks, I seem better off to get a better GPU maybe with more compute performance, more ssd's. the only real upgrade seems to me would be a IVY-E high end over locked to the max. But that's big bucks.

Are you running a SSD? That improves everything I found - now I've got two so that everything other than media files and backups run off SSD's. Photo work improves out of sight. Not sure you would get much more than 4.3ghz?

You'd probably be fine overclocking your i5 a bit more for the time being, yeah. unless there's a specific deficiency you're noticing that absolutely requires an upgrade after that, it'd be more cost effective to wait a few years, since the 2500k is still a great CPU.
