I am interested in gaming at 5760x1080 and I am buying two EVGA Classified 770s. They have 4 gigs of vram and are clocked around 1.3 Ghz. I think this should be enough to run games likes Crysis 3 maxed out with 2x AA. I just want to get some more opinions before I drop 1k on video cards.

P.S. I am going to be running a 3570K around 4.5 Ghz so I don't think that should cause any bottlenecks.

They should easily run Crysis 3 even at 5760x1080, the 4GB Vram per card is not going to make a big difference though. I would suggest going for regular 770s as their performance would be similar, or alternatively try
2X HD 7970s as these will also be within your budget and will slightly outperform the 770s.

Thanks for your answer. Just a couple quick questions. At ultra widescreen wouldn't more vram be useful? I've seen some forums where people say Crysis uses almost 2 gigs of vram at 2560x1600 so since I'm pushing one and a half times as many pixels, wouldn't the vram usage reach almost 3 gigs? I aslso have Battlefield 3 and I read that it uses almost 2 gigs just at 1080.

From what I've seen, one 770 can run Crysis 3 at 5760x1080 around 20 fps at max graphics with 2x AA so two overclocked ones should be able to run it around 50 fps.

Battlefield 3 with sli 770s 2Gb get around 50 fps @ 5760x1080

Battlefield 3 with Crossfire 7970s get around 70 fps @ 5760x1080

There are some games which probably do require a bit more Vram, but paying almost 500$ per card just for that Extra Vram is a little wasteful, i think you could probably get 3 7970s for the same price ( Regular not Ghz editions) which would give u better performance than even titan SLI. Just remember the 770 in the end is a Tweaked 680 whose main competitor is the 7970 which comes with 3GB of memory.

I actually have that open in another tab, that's what I've been basing my framerates on. Guess great minds think alike :)
