Im getting a new computer soon and i was just wandering what would be the better option. GTX770 2GB 2-way SLI or GTX770 4GB. Im planning to use 3 monitors (1920x1080 each).
or are there any other options worth considering?

Thanks.

Solution

I'd recommend get the 4GB version and not sli cause if u sli 2x2GB versions the actual vram does not gets doubled to 4GB.So get the 4GB version from reputed brands like asus, gigabyte, zotac,or evga.

You said that a single 770 does not possess enough power to use 4GB.So why they offer you with more vram?
Definitely for playing at high resolution.
and if he have enough money to sli 770,then he should avoid sli configurations and have a GTX 780 3GB.

Yes!EVGA's one is very good.If u like my answer.please hit the''pick yhis as a solution'' button.if u have further questions. Please ask me and I have chosen evga for excellent customer service, good clock speeds and a very efficient cooler

give me a minute and i'll show proof that because they offer it doesn't mean it will use it. a 670 4gb actually performed worse than a 2gb. a 770 is not that much more than a 670 to make a difference.

Therefore, we can conclude, if you are going to be getting a GeForce GTX 670, and only sticking to single-card, single display gaming, or even NV Surround, 2GB models are the better value.

a 770 is much better than a 670.Actually it performs a bit more than a GTX 680.

i'll agree but given an either single 4gb or SLI 2gb the latter is better-

i guess its going to get missed from my post before

looking at the 670 compared to the 770 - jesus look at what a fail the 4gb card is. you'll need a lot better performance difference between the two gpus to take advantage of the added Vram.

The 780 would be better than the 770 4gb, they may be quite a bit more but it at least won't need to run in SLI to power a triple monitor setup for a while. 3gb is a good amount of Vram, too.
