my monitor makes a wave when i am playing game or watching movie somethis

ok this is hard to explain but sometimes when I am playing game or watching a move my monitor makes a wave looking line going from bottom to top

when I am playing game sometimes when I turn very fast

is there something wrong with my monitor or grahpics card?

sounds like screen tearing to me, enable vsync and it should dissapear.

It dosent look like that but it looks like you know when people are doing the wave with there hand it looks like that expect it starts from the bottom of my screen and to the top

Also what causes tearing and if ur monitor is tearing is there something wrong with te Gpu or monitor

No My grahpic card is a DVI I and my monitor is DVI D

No I don't its a 7970 HIS

I mean I can live with it dosent happen evertime I am just worried if there's something wrong with my graphics card or monitor

you could try a clean install of your drivers incase its something with them.

grab driver fusion and the latest amd beta drivers.

uninstall current driver and dont restart.
run driver fusion amd driver cleaner.
install latest driver as display and hdmi driver only,

Well I don't see it anymore when I am playing bf3 and spawn in a spawn beacon it usally happens then but now it dosent

Also what cus screen tearing

tearing happens when a frame update happens while a frame is already being sent to the monitor so you basically have part of an older frame and part of a newer frame.

i tend to use radeonpro and enable triple buffering and vsyn in my games to get rid of tearing completely.

Mmm it seems that my smaller monitor with 720p monitor dosent get tearing

Could there be something wrong with my new one?

no it is most likely fine, tearing can happen to any monitor, more so on monitors that tax the card more with higher resolutions.

Mmm I tried 1360 780p and no tearing on my new one seems like 1080p cusses it
