Accidentally ran acronis drive cleanser for 5 mins on a 3TB Ebook. I pulled out the USB when I realized. Can I recover the files? Now I get the "Disc needs formating" message.

If you run a data recovery program it should be able to recover some of the data. Try Recuva, not sure how well it will work, be patient with the program when it is starting up and finding the HDD.

It will take a few days once you start running the search. Took me over a day to run a 1.5TB.

You will have lost any data that was cleansed in that 5 mins.

You may get lucky, you may not. If there was quite a bit of free space on the drive, the zeros that got laid down on that drive might have been in an area that was not occupied by your data. If it was however, you will have lost some data for sure. Good luck and let us all know how it goes!
