Do you want 16:10 to make a come back?

How likely would you be to buy a 16:10 monitor?

^ +1 21:9 (even though I never used it) would be way better.
I'd really like to have 3 or 4 tabs next to each other, more vertical space isn't necessary for me.
Just like human vision I suppose.

For photoshop/illustrator I have always preferred a horizontal work space (multiple monitors) so I have just become accustomed to it sooooo 21:9 is for me at least my fav! Although I couldn't handle spreadsheets or word documents on 21:9 :L Maybe 9:21? ;)

For 1st person gaming, I disagree. I figure that with all the people who like Eyefinity/Surround setups, there must be something to having the extra peripheral vision, which are 48:9 setups.

I agree, maybe its because I use photo editing software too? I do video editing but I seem to use more photo software and I've gotten a little more productivity out of 16:10, subjectively speaking.

the problem is 2 fold: 1. customer are demanding 1080 and related resolutions more than they used to 2. most people haven't upgraded their panels in YEARS anyway... and with TVs set on 1080 for the moment, that's what customers associated with good... because they are mostly concerned with content consumption...

which I think begs the question: if I produce content more than most, I like 16:10 personally, but if I'm producing 1080 style content because that's what people want, I guess that's where my focus should be :/
