What resolution should I use with this monitor?

I have an Asus v233w.
My highest possible resolution is 1680 x 1050. This may seem like a dumb question but seeing all of the other resolutions I'm able to set it at makes me wonder if the biggest is for some reason not the best.

Windows always has lower options than the actual resolution of the monitor. For the best experience, set it at the native resolution (which is 1680x1050)
