power button on corsair 500r does not work

how to test the power button on a corsair 500r chassis.
I just built a hackintosh using a ga-z77x-ud 5h mo. The mo power button works but not the chassis one.

Check that the wire connecting the button to the MoBo is connected correctly and not turned around and is pushed all the way down on the pins.

The wire to the MoBo header is correct per MoBo manual.

I just built the system, so in short it never worked. I am going to test for continuity. But first I want to see if the connection at the panel end is ok. I have heard that this can come off or loosen. Your thoughts will be much appreciated.

Befor you do that contact Corsair and tell them. It probably came broken and that is on them. If you try to fix it it could void the warranty and your screwed.

Thanks! I fixed it by taking the panel out, checking for continuity and then soldering the loose wire.
