I am trying to decide which RAM to use with AMD A10-6800k on MSI FM2-A85xa-G43. I've heard RAM is more important with AMD than Intel, and the motherboard supports up to 2400 MHz OC'd (although the CPU only claims to support 2133).
Will I be able to go up to 2400 with this CPU or only 2133?
What is the main qualifier for selecting RAM? Do i simply divide the clock speed by the Cas latency and choose the higher value?
Between the following RAM modules, one with a higher clock speed, the other with a lower latency, which would be better?
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) Model F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL
DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900)
Timing 9-10-9-28
Cas Latency 9
Voltage 1.5V
