Hi all,
I'm still using Creative Live! 5.1 soundblaster (on Win XP), which has a dual output that I need for monitoring and recording, but there are no drivers for Win7.
So I have to buy a newer one (but not that expensive).
Can some one help me out ?
I need both of the outputs running at same time, one for speakers , another one for headphones.
Thanx!

the pc shop offered me the asus xonar d1 ,
but on the back side I can only see - input,
output: front, side,sub, rear.
so I'm not sure can this card be used for dual output .
(on my live! there is output1, and output2 jack)

what type of speakers do you have?

are they 2.1 computer speakers or is it a reciever?

after a quick check i couldnt find any with 2 3.5 mm jacks.

a lot of the asus ones have optical out which is higher quality and you can add this to convert it for speakers if you dont have an optical compatible device. http://www.amazon.com/FiiO-D3-Digital-Converter-Optical/dp/B005K2TXMO/ref=pd_sxp_grid_pt_0_0?tag=hardfocom-20

if that doesnt solve your problem can you be more specific about which exact ports you need and what you are using?
brands and models would be good too

I have a pair of Behringer TRUTH B3031A monitors/speakers, and some decent Philips headphones.
I use LINE6 UX1 (usb) for input: mic/guitar.
and the pci soundcard as an output, sometimes during recording, but always during mixing/production.(and that is the time I need the dual output)

The converter looks nice. Can it be used to reproduce sound at same time with the regular output 3.5mm port ?

sounds like we have a similar setup although i dont do any input other than digital.

i honestly am not too familiar with your setup.

i found one thing that might work but its expensive.

it has a speaker left and right out as well as a seperate headphone jack. and a line in.
