I've had my new PC for about 6 months now and the stock AMD AM3 fan is starting to get loud already, I've been looking at cheap (under £25) but efficient (quieter at high load) replacements and I've found a couple, I'd rather not remove the motherboard to attach a backplate if at all possible too.
The main one I've found is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 rev2, but as it's AMD, I can only have it facing up or down, which means it might be too clsoe to my RAM slots, if anyone has one of these coolers as well as an ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 and could weigh in on whether or not if fits, that would be great, if it just covers the RAM slot closest to the CPU, I can live with that.
