I am looking into building a gaming pc. This is my first build and I am very nervous. Not so much for building it but rather the fact that I am spending a lot of money on something.

Here is what I am looking at:

Intel Core i5 4670k 3.4 GHZ LGA 1150 Haswell

Asus Z87-A Socket LGA 1150 SATA 6.0 Gb/s ATX

EVGA GeForce GTX 760 2 Gb DDR5 Superclocked 256-bit PCI Express 3.0 SLI Supported

Corsair Vengeance 240 pin (1x8Gb) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

EVGA SUPERNOVA NEX 750B 750W ATX 12V/EPS 12V SLI ReadyCrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular PSU New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Corsair Vengeance Series C70 ATX Mid-Tower Case

Asus DRW 24B1ST/BLK/B/S BLACK SATA 24X DVD Burner Bulk-OEM

Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2 TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0 Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

All of this would be purchased off newegg.com and software such as Windows 8 and Kaspersky Internet Security will be bought off amazon.com

Please give me your opinions. I have been doing research for a while now so I know what is compatible and what not. Please give me advice to improve this build if needed. Thank you!

You'll need a CPU cooler, suggest the Hyper 212 EVO also would suggest going to a 2x4 sets of DRAM to utilize dual channel mode

Thank you for your response! Couple Questions, do I need an aftermarket CPU fan right away or can I wait until I overclock? Also is the dual channel mode faster or otherwise just curious to the (2x4) Memeory suggestion?

Dual Channel can be up to 10-15% higher performance, and a better heat sink is recommended, might look at the Hyper 212 EVO ($30-35)

Thank you very much for your opinion! Anything else you want to add? Am I getting the right parts? I want to be able to play Battlefield 3 and 4 in the future.

Thank you! I ended up switching some things up because it was a better deal. I took your advice for the dual channel memory but I am going to war on an aftermarket CPU fan.

Once again thank you!
