How to configure Wimax USB dongle with a Router

I have a TP-Link TL-MR3040 router, which support USB dongle. I want to Config Wimax USB dongle with this router. It's work with 3G/4G/Ev-do USB dongle. But I can not config with this router.

Contact TPLINK or the maker of the USB device, the two may not be compatible.

What's your USB dongle? Does it require separate software in your computer/mac to connect to?

I have TP-link TL-MR3040 variant which works with one of my wimax usb dongle without configuring anything in the router (unless you want to set wifi password of course). My wimax router doesn't need any separate software to connect to. At the very beginning, I just reset the router to default configuration, then connected the wimax dongle to the USB port of the router and waited for a while. The light of the dongle changed to "connected" color and viola!

Yes, I use a software (Connection manager, Supplied with dongle) in my computer.
My USB Dongle is ZTE ax226. Need only User ID & Password to connect to wimax.

Which Version of router do you use?
Do you use any Third party firmware? if yes, Which one?
Please tell me details.

Is your dongle Hostless or dial up? If your dongle is hostless just plug and enjoy or is dial up just change your dongle from your BSNL to hostless.
