Hello everyone.
Some days ago I've got extra cheap phenom x4 965be for my second station, that has already an asus M2N-SLI (not deluxe) with nforce560 chipset.
I know that mobo do not support 965be officially, just like m2n-sli deluxe nforce570. But deluxe do supports 955 and 965 with C3 stepping with manual settings.
My mobo recognize chip as phenom II x4 965 BE. But even when I do manual settings in bios, it starts windows and cpuz shows 800MHz.
I've tried to set voltage and multiplier the same as phenom 945, but it didnt work for me. Even when I try to set multiplier x5 instead of x4 it do not any changes.
So is there any variant to make it works on at least 3.0GHz, which will be fine for video processing and torrents down/uploading.
Will appreciate any answer.
Sorry my english, it's not good bcs I am russian.

Did you try resetting the BIOS to the factory default settings? In the past, that has allowed my BIOS to redetect the CPU and start running it at the correct voltages and multipliers.

I did update my bios to latest version 5001(which suppurts up to 945 phenom C3 stepping), and then made factory reset/reset to default settings. I do know that on my mobo exists jumper which one clears cmos, but I've decided that set the factory defaults will be enough.

It detects my cpu correctly, but locks up multiplier on x4. And manual settings do not take any effect, as they do on m2n-sli deluxe.

M2n-sli deluxe with nforce570 has the same recommendations for cpu TDP and locked it on 95W. But not officially it supports 955be & 965be with manual settings.

Theoretically all C3 CPUs have the same TDP on the same voltage and freqs. So I think that I do something wrong with manual settings. Im sure that mobo can handle 965 on underclocked freqs. I just want to know how can I get mobo apply my settings.

its supports up to 125 watts im running the 965 be at multiplier of 17.5 with everything else set to auto windows says its running at 3.52 ghz and its stable but I think it can be fine tuned more with the bus speed.
