compatibility of graphics card

I own an intel box dh55tc motherboard. Is the gt640 compatible with my motherboard as it comes with a pci-e x16 2.0 port whereas the gt640 requires a pci-e x16 3.0 port. My email id is ankitbarman005@gmail.com ... please reply as soon as possible

It should be fine, but the 640 wouldnt be the best choice at its price, unless you are getting it for a good price.
